Segun Adaju, who was born in 1969, is a Nigerian business owner. He currently serves as the chief executive officer of Consistent Energy Limited and as the president of the Renewable Energy Association Nigeria (REAN). Earlier in his career, he worked as the assistant manager of Integrated Micro-finance Bank Limited, which was the first micro-finance bank in Nigeria. He also founded GS Micro-finance Bank Limited and served as its top manager.
Education
Adaju received a degree in Economics and an MBA from the University of Lagos. He continued his education by completing executive programs at Harvard Business School, MIT/Sloan School of Management, Frankfurt School of Management, Renewable Academy Berlin, and Lagos Business School.
Career
Before joining Consistent Energy, Adaju worked at major banks in Nigeria, including Equity Bank of Nigeria Limited, First Atlantic Bank Plc, and First City Monument Bank Plc. He left these positions in 2006 to help start Integrated Micro-finance Bank, which was the first micro-finance bank in Nigeria. Later, he founded his own micro-finance bank, GS Micro-finance Bank Ltd, in 2007. In January 2015, he created Consistent Energy Limited and currently holds the role of chief Energizing Officer.
He serves as a Mentor in the Tony Elumelu Entrepreneurship Programme (TEEP) and as a Coach in the West African Forum for Clean Energy Financing (WAFCEF).
