About

The Rewilding Institute's goal is to help large carnivores in North America survive and thrive by creating habitats in the wilderness that are connected so animals can move freely. They believe humans and large carnivores can live together safely in North America. They want to fix the harm caused by over-hunting, over-logging, and using too many natural resources. By working on conservation projects across the continent, they aim to stop more large predators from becoming extinct and help them return to their natural role in keeping ecosystems balanced. They suggest bringing back wolf populations in connected, protected areas so they can help maintain the balance of wildlife. As part of their work, they have tried to include wildlife crossings in interstate highway projects.
